Pink Shirt Day is on Feb. 27 and is a national campaign that invites Canadians to take a zero-tolerance stand on bullying and to practice universal acceptance and kindness every day.
This year's focus on Pink Shirt Day is on cyberbullying (also called online bullying). This form of bullying or harassment is increasingly common in our digital world, especially among teens using social media. Cyberbullying happens when someone uses technology to pick on or target another person in a harmful way. Pink Shirt Day challenges social media users to THINK before they post, "asking themselves if it is True, Helpful, Inspiring, Necessary, and KIND."
